During the China’s antiJapanese War, Chongqing, China’s wartime capital was heavily bombed by the Japanese militarist planes from 1938 to 1943 The Western mainstream media focused on Chongqing Bombing, reported and spread the news to the whole world By studying Time magazine, this paper tries to apply the communication theory and probe into Time’s coverage feature of Chongqing Bombing by analysis 305 Time articles of this period It also explores the national image of wartime China by Time magazine
