The paper has made an indepth analysis of CSSCI-data (2005-2006) on foreign literary studies in China, providing a general survey of the current development in the field. The authors point out that the researcher-body has grown steadily, the research papers have become more standardized than before, the administration of fund-supported projects has become increasingly effective, and many creative topics have been explored. These developments have laid solid foundations of the further development in foreign literary studies.
