Abstract:As a social autonomous mechanism, nongovernmental organizations have their own unique advantages in public crisis management. At present, Chinese nongovernmental organizations’ participation in public crisis management is confronted with multiple predicaments on system and conception, value orientation and benefits claim, internal disorder and external anomie. Therefore, it’s necessary to optimize NGO’s external management environment, perfect internal management structure, and innovate participative politics and culture. Thus, NGO’s effective participation in public crisis management can be achieved.
