As the biggest national academic group in the Min Guo Period, the institute of law of Republic of China has make great contribution to the modernization of the Chinese legal system and law research. This institute had its society publication, namely the Journal of Chinese Law, which represented the highest standard in law research at that time. Insofar as not many studies have been make on this institue, this paper focuses on it and tries to depict its trajectory, academic activities and leadership group, in order to provide a full picture of it.
