It took 70 years for Ma Jiaqin to originate“Kun genre”for“classic Chinese dance”.Though it was called “Kun dance”,but “Kun genre”has included all the elements to be define as a new genre of classic Chinese dance. In this literature, “Kun genre” has been defined as a new genre of classic Chinese dance just as the other 3 genres, it has changed the concept of Kun dance, and set the origin for Kun genre’s development. This literature analyzes its origination, acting style, technique and rule, in order to build its theoretical basis and set off for the new development.
