    Abstract:

    From the perspective of the main body of master of engineering candidates, a questionnaire has been conducted for the people who enter themselves for master of engineering entrance exam in five universities of Chongqing and an empirical research has been made, with the method of factor analysis, to study every factor which influences the people’s application of master of engineering. And six major factors—“social expectation”, “occupational requirement”, “thirst for knowledge”, “interest of learning”, “interpersonal relation” and “life adjustment” have been proposed and analyzed in this paper. It can be seen that the factors which influence the office-bearers to enter themselves for master of engineering entrance exam have obvious correlation with the personal attribute through correlation analysis.
