    Abstract:

    After the Cold War, American security environments have changed greatly. Therefore, America began to search new national interests. However, American government put the commercial and ethnic interests in the first place, and American National Interests were eroded. Samuel Huntington advocated that America should restrain and limit to be involved in the world affairs in order to get more active national interests in the near future. Finally, Huntington put forwards advice, including seeking enemy, playing balance of power and maintaining American hegemony, and reflected his conservative thoughts inclination.
