The latter two meanings focus on practical aspect of music. “Control music” and “coordination music” are the basic meanings, which emerge along with the musical aesthetic direction. As “movement ” ,“jie” has the conection with “sheli”;As“instrument,” “jie” has broad and narrow meanings. Broad meaning refers to all the “jie” instruments. Narrow sense refers to the specific “jie” in the Xiang He song. The position of the “jie” in the Xiang He song reflects the distinctive rhythm of the Xiang He song.
