Since the 18th CPC National Congress, General Secretary Xi Jinping has made a series of important discourses on ideological and political education of college students from different perspectives, such as strategic positioning, ideological foundation, moral practice, cultural self-confidence and working pattern. These important discourses are very rich in theoretical connotation, and have answered the questions of "what kind of people we want to cultivate to be, how to cultivate them, and for whom to cultivate them" systematically by the combination of theory and practice. They have made clear the important direction and provided basic compliance for strengthening ideological and political education of college students in the new situation.
