Abstract:This analysis is based on relevant engineering cases from both domestic and international contexts, the structural system of prefabricated piers is introduced. The benefits and drawbacks of various types of prefabricated piers are compared and analyzed in terms of their structural mechanical performance, durability, and ease of construction. Through the review of current research findings, it was discovered that: while there is still little research on the compressive and shear characteristics of prefabricated RC piers, the majority of it still focuses on the seismic performance of bridge piers, despite the fact that JTG/T 3365-05-2022 has proposed a method for structurally calculating prefabricated concrete piers, it has not yet proposed a method for checking the ultimate bearing capacity of local structures in accordance with the splicing structure characteristics of various prefabricated pier types; while JTG/T 3365-05-2022 and JTG/T 3364-2022 specify the structural specifications and construction technology for some types of prefabricated piers, some local standards have already addressed the seismic design, construction, acceptance, etc. of prefabricated piers. These standards can be used to guide the design and construction of some types of prefabricated piers, but their contents are still insufficient. On the basis of this, the limitations of the manufactured pier in structural design, construction, quality control, and other areas are presented, along with a course for future growth. Relevant research can serve as a source of inspiration for theoretical study, technical application, and future augmentation and enhancement of pertinent guidelines and practices for manufactured piers.
