In this paper, the space origin and space types of the cliff-side Buddhist hall are discussed. With quite a few examples, the space character and space arrangement of the cliff-side Buddhist hall in Ba-shu area are inquired with multi aspects such as the line of sight, scale, lighting and inner and outer flow of the space.
