The concept of "New Section Plane" has been proposed when the tooth flank error of normal cylidrical worm is measured on the three coordinate measuring machine .and it has been compared in many respects with the general" First Section Plane". It has been pointed out that "The New Section Plane" is superior to "The First Section Plane
