This paper first analyzes the working mechanism of the UPFC,and a practical method of power flow simulation is presented.The method can bring controlling of UPFC to accord with power flow simulation in the best,and can calculate the power flow with several UPFC.IEEE 5 nodes system and IEEE 30 nodes system are tested.
