A new algorithm,based on the combination of the evolutionary programming with the traditional gradient adjustment technique,is presented for solving the optimal power flow problem which describes some technical problems(representations of candidate solutions,evaluation function,mutation operator).Its efficiency is higher than that of general evolutionary programming.
