Abstract:
s:Compared with conventional electrolytic, supercapacitor(electrochemical capacitor)improves the specific capacitance, the specific energy density dramatically. While compared with battery, the Supercapacitor has less specific energy density. There are three types of materials that can be used for manufacturing supercapacitors. They are carbon-based materials, metal oxide materials and conductive polymer materials. A brief description of the development of three types of materials is given, including preparation, structure, modification, working mechanism and electrochemical property of these materials. The recent development of these materials used for supercapacitors was reviewed.The capacitor made up with these three types of materials has characteristics of superhigh power and long circulation life.The electrode materials for supercapacitor make prepares for the need of the rising electric vehicles and other systems of energy management.
