It's recognized that Automobile Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) is the most effective method to solve the modern traffic problems. ITS is the direction 21st century traffic goes on. It will stimulate more environmental protection, more effective and safer traffic and transport. Electronic Map (EM) plays a very important role on ITS. And it influences the success of ITS directly. The basic conception of EM, functions of EM on ITS, the characteristics of EM in ITS and the ways to get the information of EM are introduced.
