Abstract:A new connector end correction is presented on the basis of the three dimensional finite element results, which is for the lumped-parameter formula used to predict the resonance frequency of a silencer having various depths to width ratio of the cavity. The problems of the low accuracy are solved even no use for some cavity dimensions of the lumped-parameter formula.
