The purpose of this paper is to define an Ishikawa iterative scheme for generalized quasi-contractive mappings in p-convex metric spaces and to prove that this iterative scheme converges to the unique fixed point of generalized quasicontractive mappings in p-convex metric space. The results presented in the paper generalize and unify the corresponding results in given by Liu Qin-hou, Xu Hong-kun, Ding Xie-ping, H. E. Rhoades, et al.
