The importance of setting numerical simulation course in building environment and facility engineering (BEFE) specialty based on the specialty’s development is discussed The contents， aim and teaching method of numerical course are put forward The result shows that setting the course would do good to cultivate the students’ creativity and scientific research ability This measure is coincident with specialty teaching reform tendency
