On the basis of analyzing the defects of practical teaching system of resources and environment and planning management of urban and rural specialty in local universities, this paper tries to construct a new practical teaching system of residential district planning course to avoid the defects. The system lays emphasis on the importance of practical teaching in local universities, arranges the contents of practical teaching system of residential district planning, discusses the relationship among the elements of the system.
