Abstract:Subjectbased English (SBE) is one of the required curriculums legalized by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. It is of practical importance to strengthen the SBE teaching for building environment and equipment engineering, and then in order to accommodate the students to the increasingly broaden international intercommunion. In this paper, by author’s teaching practice and the related literature, the four significant points during the SBE teaching for building environment and equipment engineering are few persons qualified to teach, shortness of appropriate teaching material, simple teaching mode and students’ poorly learning interest. Based on the feasible and practical principles, the measures are put forward to solve the corresponding problems so that the students’ activity and creativity will be fully mobilized, and teaching effects and students’ comprehensive quality will be improved.
