From the view of construction aim of civil engineering characteristic specialty, this paper compares the domestic teaching modes with foreign ones for applicationoriented talents and presents such composite training approaches as international cooperation, dual training system between university and company, biidentification, modularization education as well as engineering quality training, which are important for enabling academy construction, improving innovating ability, developing competitive spheres and building profession awareness.Based on training experience, some problems on optimization of composite talents training ways are also herein put forward.
