Based on characteristics of students in College of Engineering, Heilongjiang Bayi Agricultural University, characteristics of highrise building structures course, and the demand of applicationoriented talent training, we studied new teaching methods and means for highrise building structures course, and concluded teaching experience of highrise building structures.Changing teaching content and methods for different students, setting up a systematic knowledge system considering with related courses, utilizing specifications and engineering examples, changing test methods, and improving teachers’ capabilities were effective ways.
