Abstract:Threaded by constructive education theory, combined with characteristics and teaching goals of CAT of MTI (master of translation and interpreting), the paper explores the application of constructive education theory in the teaching procedure of the CAT course to develop the student centered teaching pattern, to help them learn how to take part in and manage translation projects, to strengthen teacher learner interaction to procure efficiency in learning, and to enhance students’ translating abilities through abundant practice with the help of translation software and bilingual language databanks.
