The method of acquiring knowledge and student’s ability of learning continuously can be effectively cultivated by research-oriented teaching. The strategy of subject-oriented teaching content of civil engineering course is put forward on this paper,based on research-oriented teaching. And it’s practical application and operational strategy of the whole research-oriented teaching process is relevantly studied on the course of civil engineering. Students learn to study actively through the research-oriented teaching method, and gain the quality and ability of sustainable learning.
