Training mode on practical abilities for professional teachers in technological colleges and universities

    Abstract:

    Aiming at current status that the practical ability of professional teachers in technological colleges and universities is relatively weak, the caused reasons were analyzed. Combined with “National Outline of Medium to Long Term Educational Reform and Development Planning” and relevant requirements of “Excellent Engineer Training Program” established by the Ministry of Education, an integrated training mode was proposed to improve the practical ability of teachers according to the system of universities. Specific measures were presented including training professional teachers in enterprises, employing technical personnel as part-time professional teachers, using laboratory and practical training base, and assessing professional teachers’ practical ability.
