Abstract:As part of the professional training module courses, urban planning and design courses are compulsory ones for junior and senior students of urban planning major. These courses are also serial ones that extend across different academic years. The traditional teaching mode always emphasizes teaching and ignores learning. This paper proposes a truly student-centered teaching mode which is also characterized by role interaction. We will construct theme-centered multi-direction multi-round teaching process which involves several steps of role interaction to enrich the contents of urban planning courses as much as possible and gradually to help students develop their comprehensive ability and overall quality.
