Foundation engineering course is an important specialized course of civil engineering. According to the characteristics of the course, combined with own teaching experience and experience of engineering practice, the difficult problems in the teaching process have been carried on the thorough analysis to deepen the understanding of the basic concepts and to grasp the thread of the course.The engineering cases are analyed to stimulate students' learning interest and enthusiasm, and to realize the importance of basic engineering.
