    Abstract:

    Debate-style teaching is integrated into the course of GIS for transportation. With the preparing and debate improve their understanding of knowledge, as well as their ability of independently thinking and the ability for application. The key points of teaching results include the debate topic, the argument foundation, process design for debate, rhythm guidance and direction control of free debate section. Debate-style teaching promotes students participate in the instructional design, sum up the knowledge and recognize of problem, which on one hand arouse the students' enthusiasm on the active learning of professional skill and extra curriculum knowledge, and on another hand reveal and improve remarkably the students' ability of oral expression and logistic thinking. Debate-style teaching is an effective method for developing comprehensive quality of students.
