    Abstract:

Application-oriented curriculum construction is the key to the talent training of application-oriented university. Outcome based education (OBE) revolves the definition of expected learning goals, the realization of expected learning goals, and the evaluation of learning outcomes, which is conducive to the fundamental transformation of educational paradigm from content-based to student-oriented. Firstly, from the three aspects of teaching content, teaching methods and curriculum evaluation, points out the problems that need to be reformed in the basic engineering curriculum. Secondly, based on the OBE concept, the teaching content was reconstructed, and the reform measures of engineering application-oriented teaching methods and the curriculum evaluation system with the dual effects of knowledge assessment and ability assessment were put forward. Furthermore, a feedback and continuous improvement mechanism included course performance evaluation, student satisfaction survey and third-party evaluation was established. Finally, the measures to improve teachers' practical abilities and the compilation of applied teaching materials were introduced.
