The construction of curriculum-based ideological and political education is the need to promote the modernization of education and build a powerful country in education, which has important practical significance for cultivating socialist builders and successors. Taking construction courses of civil engineering major in application-oriented universities as an example, based on analyzing the necessity, the construction of curriculum-based ideological and political education is explored from three aspects: capacity building of ideological and political cultivation for teachers, the excavation of ideological and political elements in professional knowledges, and the teaching design and organization of courses.
