    Abstract:

    Under the background of the construction of emerging engineering education, how to highlighting the educating orientation of higher education, merging the implicit ideological and political education with the professional course teaching of engineering students organically, and realizing the integration and resonance of theoretical knowledge education and social values education, are the main issues facing in the course teaching reform of higher education in recent years. In this paper, the course of basic principle of steel structure of civil engineering major as an example. The ideological and political elements, such as red gene, patriotic gene, craftsman spirit and engineering ethics, are integrated into teaching content, method, design and evaluation links through the way of gene implantation in moisten things silently. The whole process, multi-angle and multi-dimensional guidance is carried out and promotes the deep integration of ideological and political education with curriculum teaching objectives, elements and process. A new integrated teaching mode of curriculum ideological and political education is constructed.
