On the base of reviewing and analyzing the relevant literature on the spirit of scientists, this paper summarizes the development trajectory of research on this subject and then provides a detailed interpretation of the key focuses, characteristics, and prominent issues in the current studies. The paper analyses the scientific connotations of the spirit of scientists, the methods and channels for promoting and disseminating this spirit, as well as the assessment of its effectiveness. On this basis, it further investigates the future directions and specific pathways for promoting the spirit of scientists and contributing to the building of a technological powerhouse in the context of advancing comprehensive educational reforms and implementing the integrated development strategy of education, science, and technology.
