    Abstract:

The basic educational conditions of the urban underground space engineering major are related to the training of high-quality talents in this field. According to the unified deployment of the Urban Underground Space Engineering Teaching Instruction Group, Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology and Southeast University organized a survey on the basic educational conditions of urban underground space engineering major. The survey results show that most universities have strong teachers, the selection of teaching materials is suitable for school-running characteristics, and the construction of laboratories and practice bases is perfect, which can meet the needs of professional personnel training. However, there are four issues that require attention in a small number of universities, namely weak faculty allocation with low academic qualifications and professional titles, teaching materials selection inconsistent with professional norms, insufficient experimental equipment and no practice base, and tight teaching funds. In response to the above problems, three-in-one improvement measures are put forward, including strengthening the supervision of government departments, attracting engineering enterprises to participate and improving the orientation of professional education, in order to promote the construction of urban underground space engineering major.
