Urban and rural planning is transforming from physical space design to comprehensive design, and paying more attention to multidisciplinary knowledge systems and practical projects. Based on planning reality and educational theory, this paper expounds on the problems of identity, discourse, teaching, and utility in multidisciplinary integration of planning, and judges that it has not achieved real multidisciplinary integration due to the limitations of professional knowledge, institutional mechanisms, and planning itself. Then, this paper puts forward strategies like strengthening multidisciplinary cooperation, removing institutional obstacles, and emphasizing the value and core of planning, to provide a reference for discipline integration in the planning field.
