Abstract:Taking blended learning and flipped classroom instructional mode as the theoretical framework, this study presents a flipped classroom teaching mode based on self-developed SPOC(small private online course) and applied it to a university-based scientific translation course. Online teaching resources design, teaching process design and assessment design were devised and practiced. Then, qualitative data analysis of the learners’ interview and proved that the SPOC-based flipped classroom designs are highly recognized by the students. Besides, it showed that the integration of SPOC-based flipped classroom teaching and blended learning supported by information technology can enhance students’ interest in learning and lead to better collaborative learning as well.
