Abstract:
Reformation of application-oriented curriculum is the key work to build application-oriented colleges and universities. The OBE of results-oriented education centers on defining expected learning objectives -- achieving expected learning objectives -- and evaluating learning outcomes, which is conducive to the fundamental transformation of educational paradigm from "content-based" to "student-oriented". Firstly, the problems that need to be reformed in foundation engineering is analyzed and pointed out. Further, curriculum reform measures are given based on the OBE concept, including the design of teaching content, teaching method reform, curriculum evaluation reform and continuous improvement mechanism, etc. The design of teaching content should be guided by the engineering application, the reformation of teaching methods should take the student as the center, and curriculum evaluation should have the knowledge examination and the ability examination dual function. Finally, the practices of foundation engineering course are introduced. Course evaluation results, student satisfaction and third-party evaluation are the main basis for feedback and continuous improvement. Finally, the measures to improve teachers" practical ability and the compilation of application-oriented teaching materials are given. The proposed reform measures can be referred to other application-oriented universities.
