    Abstract:

The application of big data combined with urban design has become the development trend in the field of urban design. It is of great significance to empower graduate students with big data through urban design teaching. According to the previous feedback, the existing urban design courses combined with the application of big data have some problems, such as insufficient subjective understanding of the use of big data, compression of teaching content of urban design, weak technical foundation of big data, lack of teaching guidance basis, etc. In view of the above problems, this paper puts forward the curriculum practice of urban design combined with big data application. In the process, it can be found that the adjustment of teaching objectives, pre class preparation, stage operation and big data teaching setting, course evaluation and feedback, etc. can be used as the realization means of big data application in the course. On this basis, the big data enabling approach can be combined with the urban design course, and students' big data application ability can be gradually strengthened through the training of big data foundation, data collection and mining, data analysis, innovative design of data application, visual expression, etc. Finally, it is pointed out that the use of big data has changed students' learning of urban design course and affected their creative thinking mode.
