Abstract:
In 2018, the National Conference on undergraduate education in New Era has clearly proposed to "strengthen the construction of university quality culture: three-level professional certification to ensure eligibility, upgrade and pursue excellence". Professional Engineering Education Accreditation is an internationally accepted quality assurance system for engineering education, China has became a full member of the Washington agreement in 2016. Under the background of professional Engineering education accreditation, how to grasp the innovative teaching methods and improve students' participation in teaching (in class and after class) is a key issue. This paper analyze the current situation of college students' classroom participation, and used for reference from the University of Minnesota (UM) teaching characteristic, introducing the preparation before class, Effective Student Teams, personal evaluation feedback, and timely test, and combining with Transportation Engineering features in China, explore the method and the way to how to improve students' classroom participation under the Professional engineering education accreditation, so as to improve students' learning efficiency, and strengthen the construction of university quality culture.
