    Abstract:

Emerging engineering education is vital in building up a strong China in higher education and meeting the challenges of economic development, industrial transformation, and global competition. Based on the advantages and feature resources in traditional engineering discipline and new development requirements in emerging engineering education, the integrated interdisciplinary teaching mode of building environment and energy engineering program is explored and in practice. The main measures include orientation of talents cultivation characteristics, development of the integrated interdisciplinary curriculum system, construction of teaching staffs with multidisciplinary background, establishment of the diversified practical platforms through collaboration, combination of research innovation and science and technology competition with teaching and learning, implementation of China-International education collaboration, and has achieved good results. The innovation and practice of training mode can be used as a reference for other programs in universities with industry characteristics.
