Exploration of the first-class undergraduate talent training program of mechanical design, manufacturing and automation based on professional certification—Taking Chongqing University as an example

    Abstract:

    Derived from the needs of national and local economic development, combined with educational orientation and talent training direction of Chongqing University, centered on the fundamental task of morality and cultivation of people, and based on the latest standards of engineering education professional certification and first-class discipline construction requirements, professional training goals and graduation requirements were formulated. A professional curriculum system was built, such as public basic courses, general education courses, broad basic courses, professional basic courses, professional courses, practical exercises, and personalized modules. Focusing on the automobile manufacturing and parts supporting industries, high-end equipment manufacturing industry and intelligent robot industry, collaborative education with enterprises has been carried out. According to the evaluation results, the training goals, graduation requirements, curriculum system settings and teaching process have been continuously improved. Talent training program aimed at cultivating high-quality and innovative talents in mechanical engineering has been proposed. The first-class undergraduate education in mechanical design and manufacturing and automation major with Chinese characteristics and the style of Chongqing University was explored to provide talent guarantee for serving the high-quality development of the country and localities.
