Abstract:Due to the accreditation of Civil Engineering in Hainan University, the educational objectives, graduation requirements, practical curriculum, teaching pedagogy and some other aspects are deeply researched and practiced based on the core ideology of Accreditation Engineering Education. Meanwhile, the similarities and differences in program setup and objectives of Civil Engineering for undergraduate education are compared and analyzed between State University of New York Polytechnic Institute (SUNY Poly) and Hainan University. The merits of the SUNY Poly program are reflected and noted for potential beneficial aspects one can adopt in the future. The ultimate goal of strategy for Civil Engineering is to cultivate talent Civil Engineering graduates with distinctive regional characteristics and meets the thriving market demand of Hainan province.
