    Abstract:

As an important part of teaching work in colleges and universities, experimental teaching plays an irreplaceable role in polishing students’ ability to analyze and solve problems and exercising their correct thinking methods, especially for local application-oriented universities. It is an important way to cultivate college students’ practical operation ability, innovation ability, practical ability and entrepreneurial spirit. Taking the road and bridge laboratory of Civil Engineering and Architecture College of Hubei University of Arts and Science as an example, pointed out the problems existing in the current undergraduate experiment teaching; developed an open intelligent comprehensive experimental management platform that integrates experimental project selection, online course cloud sharing and experimental instrument reservation; constructed the two-way selection terminal elimination system to encourage teachers and students to work enthusiastically; improved the course evaluation mechanism that focuses on students’ practical ability; established a special safety management system covering all teachers and students; stimulated students" practical ability and innovation potential; improved the utilization rate of experimental equipment and teaching resources; and laid a solid foundation for better training applied professional and technical personnel.
