    Abstract:

    In order to adapt to the current worldwide engineering education reform and engineering education accreditation needs, and to improve the education quality of ethnic students, the training mode of ethnic students of civil engineering was reformed and explored in this paper for taking Mongolian students as an example. On the basis of meeting the requirements of the professional standards and engineering education accreditation, and proceeding from the actual situation of ethnic students, the training objectives and curriculum system are formulated, and the new concept of "practice innovation" is put forward. In the implementation of teaching, the idea of "embodying the training characteristics in the training process" was emphasized. Oriented to the training goal, reform measure was carried out in the whole process and every link of the training of ethnic students, integrating the course content, strengthening the ideological and political education, optimizing the course arrangement, strengthening the teaching of practical courses, reforming the teaching methods and means, independently design project-based problem sets, and reforming the evaluation method. It has realized the characteristic training for ethnic students and improved the education quality of ethnic students.
