Taking the education with virtue as the task, combining the education history and civil engineering characteristic of the school of Civil Engineering at Central South University, an ideological and political education system with characteristics of civil engineering is build, from three points of view, namely professional ideology and politics, platform ideology and politics, and cultural ideology and politics. By using ideological and political theories teaching, innovative teaching methods, school-enterprise integration of science and education, and multi-special collaboration, the connotation of civil engineering education with virtue is expanded, and civil engineering education system is restructured. Based on the six education platforms, namely ideological and political center, teaching class, research platform, practice platform, network platform, and student studio, the base of the education with virtue combining virtual and real is built. Based on the six college cultures, namely excellent tradition, teacher spirit, alumna footprint, celebrity elegant demeanor, student demeanor, and campus activity, the cultural environment of the education with virtue is created.
