Abstract:
Heat transfer is an important fundamental course for the Building Environment and Energy Engineering major. According to the requirements of the engineering education accreditation and concepts of outcome-based education, the teaching objectives and calculation methods of the goals’ achievement degree for the heat transfer course were investigated combining with the curriculum teaching effect and the present situation in recent years. The corresponding teaching method reform was carried out from three aspects including the engineering knowledge, problem analysis and research ability, focusing on the combination of the theoretical teaching with the engineering practice, as well as the cultivation of students’ ability of teamwork and solving complex engineering problems. It was found that the achievement degree of engineering knowledge, problem analysis and research ability are 0.77, 0.68 and 0.8 respectively. A continuous improvement mechanism was built to ensure that teaching reform is always closely aligned with graduation requirements. The results of this study can provide some reference for the teaching reform and curriculum quality standard’s amendment of heat transfer course under the background of engineering education certification.
