Some Reflections and Countermeasures on High-quality Development of Master Postgraduate Education——Take the School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering of China University of Mining and Technology as an example

    Abstract:

    Postgraduate education is the highest level of national education, which plays an important role in the economic development and social construction. Promoting the high quality development of graduate education is an urgent requirement in the new era. This paper takes the School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering of China University of Mining and Technology as an example. Based on the data of master student admission and cultivation of this school in 13th Five-Year (i.e., 2016-2020), the main problems of restricting the high-quality development of master postgraduate education are analyzed from the registration status of master students, overall cultivation result, professional degree education, graduate mentor team and education quality assurance system. The countermeasures on high-quality development of master postgraduate education are put forward, including innovation work mechanism, strengthening process control, reform training mode, strengthening team construction and optimizati on management model, etc., which can provide reference for high-quality development of master postgraduate education in similar universities.
