Abstract:
Territorial spatial planning is an important planning reform practice in China in the new era, which has a significant impact on both urban and rural planning disciplines and professional education. This paper reviews the development history of territorial space planning, focuses on the impact of territorial space planning on the teaching of urban and rural planning, and puts forward suggestions on curriculum system setting for the needs of territorial space planning from the perspective of students. In response to the reform of territorial spatial planning, the education of urban and rural planning should gradually change from a single course to a whole system of teaching. Teaching and learning are two inseparable aspects of planning professional education. The teaching of territorial spatial planning should pay attention to students’ learning feedback and learning rules, constantly improve the quality of professional education, and meet the demand of new planning talents for territorial space planning.
