    Abstract:

In the context of global digitization, countries are taking digital education transformation as an important approach. Under the blueprint of creating a digital China, various fields are actively promoting digital development, and education is an important part of it. Artificial intelligence, as the main force driving the deepening of education digitization, promotes the deep integration of artificial intelligence and education in various ways, degrees, and aspects under the national headquarters throughout the country. In order to improve the overall level of deep integration of artificial intelligence and education, the country and various regions have successively introduced policies and systems. However, compared to the current development needs of the western region and the national strategy of digital education, there is still a significant gap. This study focuses on the deep integration of artificial intelligence and education in 12 western regions, including Sichuan, Chongqing, and Shaanxi, at the end of the 13th Five Year Plan period and since the 14th Five Year Plan period. After quantitative and qualitative analysis, it is found that there is an imbalance between a single policy supply and multiple application demands in the deep integration of artificial intelligence and education in the western region, There is also a certain gap between the guidance of policy implementation and the compatibility of practical applications. Based on this, it is necessary to generate a guiding pattern of comprehensive structural and systematic policies, value scale accompanying policies, and practical operational linkage policies in parallel.
