    Abstract:

    The Chinese government has played a prominent role in building world-class universities and is a solid backing for building world-class universities. Through research on the role of government in the construction of world-class universities abroad, it has been found that the government has played an important role in organizational innovation, talent demand, laws and regulations, and financial support, becoming an important component of international experience. China's construction of world-class universities cannot be detached from its own reality, blindly copying and copying international experience, nor can it ignore the common laws of university development and remain complacent. Instead, it should be based on local conditions and have a global perspective. On the basis of drawing on and absorbing the experience of world-class university construction from abroad, China should creatively explore the local path of building world-class universities based on its own national conditions, Explore the role of the Chinese government in building world-class universities, and contribute Chinese wisdom and experience to the construction of world-class universities.
